1996年に結成されたバンドSuper Xeroを前身としている。幅広いジャンルの音楽要素を取り入れており、オルタナティブ・ミュージックの独自のミュージック・センスを持つ。2000年にリリースしたデビュー・アルバム「HYBRID THEORY」で一躍有名となった。
